AirAsia X Confident Of Its New Route To Tehran

KUALA LUMPUR – AirAsia X is confident that its new route, which took off with flight D7 776 on June 21, to Tehran, Iran, from Kuala Lumpur with three weekly flightS, will be successful.

“The commencement of this route is timed perfectly to complement the group’s growing flight network in Kuala Lumpur, where the connectivity with ASEAN, China and Australia are being optimised with the new destinations and frequencies that we have introduced across the short and long haul network,

“The airline is confident that this new route would stimulate new travel demand and boost tourism and business potential for us and the two countries.

“Iran is a huge market to tap into and we will look forward to deepening our footprint in the region, and ensuring Malaysians and other citizens of ASEAN can fly further with us,” said its Head of Commercial, Arik De, in a statement

Set against the backdrop of the majestic Alborz mountain range, Tehran city is the capital of Iran and a bustling metropolis of 14 million people.

The cosmopolitan city houses many great museums, parks and amazing local restaurants that will leave all visitors enchanted.

As prominent fixtures of the Tehran skyline, the Milad Tower, standing at 435 metres, is the tallest tower in Iran, perfect for those hoping to catch an aerial view of the city.

The historical Azadi Tower built in 1971 will leave tourists in awe for its 8,000 marble blocks that will glow under special lighting at night and is one of the symbols of Tehran.

Another architecture marvel of the city not to be missed is the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Golestan Palace.
