MELAKA – Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today officially opened the Imperial Heritage Hotel in Jalan Merdeka, Bandar Hilir, here.
Ahmad Zahid cut the ribbon, signed a plaque and toured the various facilities of the hotel.
He was met upon arrival earlier by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron and Malay World Islamic World (DMDI) president Tan Sri Mohd Ali Rustam.
Ahmad Zahid is scheduled to open the 17th DMDI Convention at Hatten Hotel in Bandar Hilir here tonight.
Construction of the RM70-million Imperial Heritage Hotel began in October 2011. The hotel commenced operation in March last year.
The DMDI Foundation holds 30 per cent of the equity of the 17-storey 329-room hotel. – BERNAMA
