The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Muâ€™adzam Shah, today presented to 220 people federal awards conferred in conjunction with His Majestyâ€™s birthday on June 7 last year.
The Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Hajah Haminah, was also present at the investiture at the Istana Negara.
Heading the list of recipients was United Pasok Momogun Kadazan Dusun Organisation (UPKO) member Datuk Mary Teresa Kinajil, who received the Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM) award.
Others who also received the JSM award were Fifth Brigade (Sabah) commander Maj Gen Datuk Ranjit Singh Ramday; Deputy Director (Internal Security/Public Order), Bukit Aman, Datuk Jaafar Mohd Yusof; facilitator, Senior Army Officersâ€™ Management Institute, Si Rusa Camp, Brig Gen Kamarudin Haron; paediatric dentistry consultant, Tuanku Jaafar Hospital, Seremban, Dr Laila Abd Jalil and deputy director-general, Manpower Department, Peninsular Malaysia, Khamis alias Kamis Abd Rashid Majid.
Tuanku Abdul Halim also presented the Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN) award to 44 people, among them Welfare Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (BAKTI) committee member, Datin Seri Chan Tat Chin; Gong Kedak air base commander Brig Gen Zahani Zainal Abidin; Penang Syariah High Court judge, Zaâ€™im Md Yudin and director of the Administration Training and Sea Transport Management Institute, Marine Department Malaysia, Abdul Nasar Abdul Hadi.
Meanwhile, 56 individuals received the Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN) award and 114 individuals received the Pingat Pangkuan Negara (PPN) medal. –BERNAMA
