SIBU – Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem is a revolutionary leader who champions the need for development in not only urban areas but the rural areas of Sarawak as well said Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
Salleh Said said since taking over the helm of Sarawak as Chief Minister, Adenan’s focus has been in tandem with the aspirations of the people and that has resulted in strong support for him from the people of Sarawak.
“He (Adenan) fights for the people of Sarawak to determine the future of Sarawak in Malaysia and seek what the state deserved through whatever agreements made during the formation of Malaysia,” he said when speaking at a Sentuhan Kasih Programme at the Al-Muhajirin Mosque here today.
Salleh Said said there would be rapid development in the state if Adenan was given a strong mandate and the Federal government would also work closely to support the state.
The presence of Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak) in Sarawak proves the commitment of the Federal government in providing support to the state government of Sarawak.
“The Federal government has major development plans for the state and one such mega project is the Pan Borneo Highway which involves billions of ringgit,” he said. – BERNAMA
