KOTA SAMARAHAN – Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi believes Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem can bring more changes to Sarawak if given the opportunity to continue to lead the state government.
Ahmad Zahid, who is also Barisan Nasional (BN) director of the 11th Sarawak State Election, said ties between the state government and the federal government have been good since Adenan took over as chief minister.
“Continuity is important for the good of Sarawakians,” he said in front of about 8,000 people who attended the Sejiwa Senada programme here, today.
Also present were Adenan and Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim.
In addition to admiring Adenan’s good performance in a short time, Ahmad Zahid also praised the chief minister’s way of approaching the people, which he described as unique.
“I have never seen a leader who sings three songs after arrival. His sporting wife pats his back while he dances away merrily.
“What more can you ask for in a leader? he asked and urged the audience to give Adenan a standing ovation.
On the state election, Ahmad Zahid said he will set up camp in Sarawak when the campaign period begins on April 25 to help the Barisan Nasional.
“In sya Allah, I will not go home and will help the people of Sarawak and my brother Adenan Satem,” he added. – BERNAMA
