PUTRAJAYA – Famous actor in the 80s Mohd Azmil Mustapha is in a stable condition despite being unconscious at the Coronary Care Unit of the Putrajaya Hospital here, said his younger brother.
Mohd Aziph Mustapha said the doctor treating his eldest brother had informed him that Mohd Azmil’s condition remained unchanged after being given medication when he complained of breathing difficulties at about 4pm yesterday.
“As a result of his weak heart, the doctor gave him medication so that my brother could sleep. He is now on life support.
“The doctor also informed that my brother is still not ready to reduce the medication,” he said when met at the Putrajaya Hospital lobby, here today.
Mohd Aziph said in 2010, Mohd Azmil, 62, underwent a coronary bypass surgery in Syria and since then he had been going for routine periodic checks at the Putrajaya Hospital.
He also thanked his brother’s fans for their endless prayers and as well as words of encouragement and hoped that everyone would continue to pray for Mohd Azmil’s health.
Mohd Azmil who was popular through his roles in box office hits such as ‘Mekanik’ and ‘Ali Setan’ is a single father with five children aged between 32 and 15 years. He also has three grandchildren aged five and two years. – BERNAMA
