ALOR SETAR – Nine out of the 23 students of Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) Baling warded at the Baling Hospital for food poisoning were discharged from the hospital yesterday.
Kedah Health director Datuk Dr Norhizan Ismail said 14 others were still warded but they expect 10 to be discharged today.
“Meanwhile, another four who are still under observation are reported to be in stable condition,” Dr Norhizan said in a statement today.
Last Monday, 68 Form 2 to Form 5 students from the junior college were rushed to the hospital after showing signs of food poisoning.
Early investigations revealed that the students came down with food poisoning after eating rice with sambal and fried rice and chicken at the MRSM cafe. – BERNAMA
