PUTRAJAYA – Eighty-four media practitioners involving 21 vehicles participated in the treasure hunt programme named ‘KDN Media Hunt’from here to Kuala Lumpur today.
The secretary of the Corporate Communication Division of the Home Ministry (KDN), Datuk Zukri Valenteno said the programme was a platform to introduce the policies, functions and role of the ministry to the public besides maintaining closer relations with the media.
“Throughout the journey, participants have to answer questions on the KDN and must refer to the KDN website and so on to get the correct answers. This will improve their knowledge on the ministry,”he said after flagging-off participants of the programme.
He said the programme, which was being held for the first time, involved participants from the media organisations including the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), Radio Television Malaysia (RTM), Bernama News Channel, Media Prima, Astro Awani, Malay Mail, The Sun, Sinar Harian, The Star, Utusan Malaysia and Focus Malaysia.
The official closing of the programme would be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.
Zukri said the KDN intended to turn the programme into an annual event if it received positive feedback from the media practitioners involved. – BERNAMA
