JOHOR BARU – Eight men including a Datuk were brought to the magistrate’s court here on Thursday morning for allegedly being involved in organised crime.
The accused, led by Datuk K. Elumalai, 42, and seven of his followers were charged for allegedly carrying out organised criminal activities between Jan 18 and Aug 19, 2015.
The eight are accused of committing the offence in the Iskandar Malaysia area and were charged under Section 130 V of the Penal Code.
The accused were brought before magistrate Mohd Azlan Shah Mohd Allias and no plea was recorded.
The prosecution was led by Johor prosecution unit head Saiful Edris Zainuddin. – The Star Online
