KUALA TERENGGANU – The Second Honeymoon Programme introduced five years ago by the Terengganu Family Development Foundation has succeeded in saving 752 marriages which were on the verge of breaking up.
YPKT director Mohd Shafaruddin Mustaffa (pic) said of the 760 couples who participated in the programme, eight marriages could not be saved and went on to the divorce process.
“This is a great success for YPKT and we will continue to have eight sessions of the programme until October this year, to include thirty couples with troubled marriages in each session,” he told reporters today.
Mohd Shafaruddin said the programme module would also serve as a special module for the National Population & Family Development Board (LPPKN) in resolving crisis between husbands and wives.
“This programme has proven to be effective in strengthening the family institution as it covers all aspects necessary to be reviewed by couples in maintaining a happy and successful marriage,” he said. – Bernama
