KUALA LUMPUR – Six areas recorded unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as at 2pm today, compared to four this morning.
According to the Department of Environment (DOE) website, two areas in Kuala Lumpur, namely Cheras and Batu Muda recorded unhealthy API readings of 105.
Unhealthy API readings were also recorded in Melaka at Bukit Rambai (118) and Melaka City (116).
Two areas in Negeri Sembilan with unhealthy API were Nilai (115) and Seremban (105).
Other areas in the country recorded good to moderate API readings.
An API reading of between 0 and 50 is good; 51 and 100 (moderate); 101 and 200 (unhealthy); 201 and 300 (very unhealthy); and more than 301 (hazardous).
