KUALA LUMPUR – Several concrete pipes which were being transported by a lorry, spilled onto the highway under the viaduct at KM305.4 of the North-South Expressway (northbound) this morning.

Serdang district police chief ACP Razimi Ahmad said five cars trailing the lorry could not stop in time to avoid the fallen concrete pipes.

In the 6.45 am incident the concrete pipes were believed to have been piled high up causing them to struck the overpass when the lorry was passing under the viaduct.

“The motorists however, escaped unhurt but their vehicles were damaged. The scattered debris was later cleared by the staff of Projek Penyelenggaraan Lebuhraya Berhad (Propel) and C Clean Co Bhd,” he said when contacted by Bernama today. – BERNAMA
