IPOH – Five pairs of twins are among 227,541 students who began their 2016 school session in Perak today.
Four pairs of were registered to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Wira Jaya and SK Pakatan Jaya here.
Donned in purple uniforms, six-year-old Hanaa Akilah Amani Rahmat Ul Hilmi and her twin Hanaa Amirah Amani, the pre-school pupils at SK Wira Jaya, were seen so cheerful as they entered the school.
“Not afraid…we love school because there are many friends here,” Hanaa Akilah and Hanaa Amirah told Bernama here.
Meanwhile, seven-year-old Saiful Isyraff and Saiful Asyraff Saiful Fazqi, as well as T.Jeivanat and T.Jayyalaxman entered Standard One and were placed in the same classroom at SK Wira Jaya.
However Jeivanat and Jayyalaxman were not seated side by side upon the request of their parents.
Another set of twins who caught the attention of parents at SK Wira Jaya today were Standard Six pupils, Eshapreetkaur Raspal Singh and Eshvinpreetkaur.
The 12-year-old twin began their first day of school at SK Wira Jaya after moving from Klang, Selangor.
SK Wira Jaya headmistress Nor Asiah Ahmad said the presence of four pairs of twins was a record for the school that had a total of 185 students.
“Prior to this, we had only one pair of twins registered to study in this school, but this time, we have four. I myself was surprised,” she said.
While, triplets Muhammad Nur Syahmi, Muhammad Nur Syahiran and Muhammad Nur Thaqif attracted the attention in SK Pakatan Jaya when they registered for Standard One at the school.
Their father Ridzuan Rahani, 41, who works as a medical assistant at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital said he chose the school as it located near to his house.
Ridzuan had initially asked the school to place his triplets in separate classrooms, but the boy insisted that they remained together.
Thaqif when met by Bernama said “My brothers and I woke up early today as we were too excited to go to school and meet new friends”. – BERNAMA
