JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar (pic) has given his full backing to Mentri Besar Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin to continue leading the state government.
Sultan Ibrahim said the good relationship between the state and Federal Government had become a catalyst to spur the economic growth in Johor.
He reminded irresponsible quarters not to make allegations or accusations against state leaders.
“I give my full trust to the Mentri Besar and the current state government leadership.
“I hope there will not be a wolf in sheepâ€™s clothing trying to disturb the political stability in Johor,” he said.
Sultan Ibrahim said this during the opening of the Johor state assembly sitting held at Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim here Thursday.
It was reported that Deputy Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique denied allegations that she was part of the group calling for the ouster of Mohamed Khaled.
Halimah described the allegation as absurd and baseless, saying Mohamed Khaled had performed well since being appointed as mentri besar.
Earlier, Shukur Mohamad, the eldest son of state speaker Tan Sri Mohamad Aziz, alleged that he had proof of a plot by a deputy minister to oust Mohamed Khaled.-The Star Online
