THE 45-year-old actor Mark Wahlberg tries to work out on a regular basis as it is much “easier” to keep up with a fitness regime then seeing his weight fluctuate between roles.
He said: “It gets harder the older you get. That’s why staying in shape and maintaining it is always easier than going from one extreme to the other, heavy to getting in shape to stopping training and getting heavy again.”
The ‘Lone Survivor’ actor who was arrested numerous times in his youth and spent time in jail for assault admitted he would not go to the trouble of giving himself advice when he was younger as he was such a cocky teenager.
He told the new issue of Men’s Health magazine: “People always ask, ‘What would you say to the 15- or 16-year-old Mark Wahlberg? I say, ‘Why would I bother? He wouldn’t listen. He thought he knew it all.’ ”
As well as his successful acting career, Mark who has daughters Ella, 12 and Grace, six, and sons Brendan, seven and Michael, 10, with his wife Rhea Durham is also a successful producer and co-owns Wahlburgers restaurants with his brothers Paul and Donnie and the ‘Ted’ star is not afraid to show up gaps in his knowledge of his other ventures by asking questions. – Bernama
