KUCHING – Polling for the 11th Sarawak Election which started at 1,754 polling stations since 8am, registered a 44 percent voter turnout as of 2pm said the Election Commission in a statement.
Sarawak has 1,085,087 registered voters, including 24,604 early voters, who have already voted on May 3.
Meanwhile, Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Muhammad Sabtu Osman said there were no untoward incidents reported so far.
The EC said most of the polling centres will close at 5pm while some would close as early as 9am, depending on location and number of voters. – BERNAMA
