KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actor Remy Ishak lost his multi-purpose vehicle after going into a convenience store to buy ice for a sprained leg in Seri Kembangan here.
Remy, 34, was said to have parked the MPV in front of the store in Taman Bukit Serdang without locking it or switching off its engine at midnight.
Serdang police chief ACP Razimi Ahmad said the victim, who exited the convenience store six minutes later, found the MPV missing.
“A closed circuit television recording at the premise showed one of two men in a Honda car had driven off the MPV,” he said in a statement.
Remy, when contacted by Bernama, said the incident took place when he was on his way home after undergoing training for the play “Cindua Mato” at Istana Budaya.
“I stopped by at the convenience store to buy ice for my leg which was swollen after I sprained it during the training. I did not expect to find my MPV stolen,” said Remy who lodged a report at the Seri Kembangan police station.
