MELAKA – A four-month-old baby girl, who is suffering from chronic lung disease, needs financial assistance for her medical treatment.
Her father Hasrolnizam Haron, 28, said his first child, Nur Uzma Hanani, needed five palivizumab injections, which cost RM4,000 per injection, to prevent lung infections.
“She needs the medication immediately but they are too expensive and my family cannot afford it,” he told a press conference at the state Barisan Nasional office in Ayer Keroh, here today.
Besides chronic lung disease, Hasrolnizam said his daughter, who was born prematurely on Aug 1 at Muar Hospital, was also suffering from a hole in the heart and optic nerve problems.
“Nur Uzma Hanani had undergone optic nerve surgery due to the pre-mature birth weighing at just 0.65 kilogrammes at Muar Hospital,” he said.
People who would like to make donations can do so through the Maybank account belonging to Hasrolnizam Haron (154026795992) or contact him at 012-2986414. – BERNAMA
