KUALA LUMPUR – The police arrested 348 people nationwide for involvement in illegal gambling during the past week, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
He said the arrests were made by the Organised Crime Special Action Unit and Special Task Force for Anti-Vice, Gambling and Gangsterism (STAGG) at Bukit Aman.
In a Twitter message, he said 1,919 computer units were seized during the week.
Khalid also said that during the week, STAGG also arrested 559 guest relations officers and masseuses in anti-vice operations.
He congratulated the squads on their success.- BERNAMA
