200 Receive Pahang Awards, Medals

KUANTAN: Two-hundred individuals received Pahang state awards and medals in conjunction with the birthday celebrations of the Sultan of Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah at Istana Abu Bakar here today.

Heading the list was Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Wira Mohd Johari Baharum, who is among 12 recipients of the Darjah Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award, which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’.

Other recipients of the SSAP award are Kuala Lumpur City Hall Economic Planning and Development Coordination Department director Datuk Syed Afendy Ali Syed Abid Ali; ASEAN Football Federation secretary-general Lt Gen (R) Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad; Seri Omega Private & International School managing director Datuk Dr Ooi Chun Yen.

Also Kumpulan Perniagaan Asturi Metal Builders (M) Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Md Sharif Shamsuddin, who is also the recipient of the Tokoh Maal Hijrah 2015 Award; Boustead Holdings Berhad executive director Datuk Ghazali Mohd Ali; EN Tie Enterprise Sdn Bhd director Datuk Lim Ik Kim.

Other recipients of the award are Wilhin Motor (M) Sdn Bhd director Datuk Tan Them Hing; former Kuantan MIC Youth chief Datuk A.Selvakumar and Berjaya Corporation Bhd executive director Azlan Meah Ahmed Meah.

Six people received the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) which carries the title ‘Datuk’, namely Yang Mulia Tunku Zainal Abidin Tunku Ngah Muhammad; Pahang Maahad Tahfiz Board member Datuk Mahadiah Mohamad; Datuk Abu Bakar A Rashid; Finance Ministry International Division Secretary K.Givananadam; Finance Ministry Division Secretary Siti Fatimah Daud; and Teo Chooi Seng.

A total of 46 individuals received the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) which also carries the title ‘Datuk’ including Political Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Yusoff HM Hanif; Attorney-General’s Chambers Head of Legal Division, Amarjeet Singh; Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government deputy secretary-general Nor Inchun Mohamed Salleh; and Malaysian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Zainol Rahim Zainuddin.

Also receiving the award are UMNO Youth exco member Dr Fathul Bari Mat Jahya; Information Department deputy director-general Mohd Sukari Ab Hamid; National Unity and Integration Department director-general L.Gandesan; Pahang Fisheries Department director Adnan Hussain; FELCRA Bhd Group General Manager of Plantation Abd Muis Damuri; Maybank Investment Bank Berhad chief executive officer John Chong Eng Chuan; Senior Consultant Specialist of Anesthesiology, Prince Court Medical Centre Dr Azmil Farid Zabir; Miri Hospital General Medicine Specialist Dr Fam Tem Lom; and Bandar Tun Razak Barisan Nasional Coordination Secretary Abd Zarin Mohd Yasin.

Sultan Ahmad Shah also conferred the Darjah Setia Ahmad Shah (SAP) to 10 recipients, the Darjah Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) to 33 individuals, the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) to nine people and the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) to 43 recipients.

Eleven people received the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC) medal, 15 the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) medal and 15 the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) medal.
