16 Roads To Be Closed For JDT Prosession

JOHOR BAHRU – Several main roads in the city will be closed in stages this
Saturday (Sept 24) to give way for a procession to celebrate Johor Darul
Ta’zim’s (JDT) success in winning the Super League title.

Johor Baharu Selatan police chief, ACP Sulaiman Salleh said the procession
will start from Stadium Tan Sri Hassan Yunos and end at Dataran Bandaraya Johor
Baharu. Sixteen roads will be closed from 7.30am until 9.30pm, said a statement.

The roads are Jalan Bomba Larkin, Jalan Dato Jaafar, JPJ Lama-Jalan Kebun
Teh Lama, Danga City Mall-Jalan Tun Razak, City Square-Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan
Wong Ah Fook, Tropical Inn-Jalan Gereja, Jalan Trus, Kotaraya-Jalan Trus, Jalan
Ibrahim, Jalan Tun Dr Ismail, Lot 1, Sultanah Aminah Hospital-Jalan Pantai Lido,
Gerbang Istana Bukit Serene-Jalan Skudai, Dataran Bandaraya, KFC-Jalan Sungai
Chat and Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru.

The climax of the procession will be from 9.30pm until 3am (Sunday), with
five roads closed, which include Jalan Skudai (Pantai Lido)-Dataran Bandaraya,
Jalan Sungai Chat-KFC, Jalan Datuk-Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru, Jalan Thompson
and Jalan Lingkaran Dalam.

Road users from Singapore are advised to use Jalan Lingkaran Dalam-Jalan
Pasir Pelangi, Kota Tinggi-Kuala Lumpur-Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) and Jalan
Lingkaran Dalam-Jalan Yahya Awal-Jalan Ibrahim.

Those heading for Sultanah Aminah Hospital are urged to use Skudai-Jalan Tun
Razak-Jalan Lingkaran Daalam-Jalan Yahya Awal-Jalan Mahmoodiah, while those from
Kota Tinggi can use the EDL-Jalan Abu Bakar-Jalan Lingkaran Dalam.
