SEREMBAN: About 1,500 participants are expected to participate in the Anti-Corruption Run to be held at the Paroi Youth and Sports
Complex, here, on Sunday.

Programme chairman Ahmad Mahathir Abdul Mulok said the programme, held for first time, was jointly organised by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and Negeri Sembilan Gerakan party.

“The programme aims to educate the public to not give or receive bribes, as the act corrupts society and the nation. Other activities including exhibition, performances, talks and lucky draws offering attractive prizes will also be held,” he told Bernama here, today.

He said the programme themed ‘Do not Give and Receive Bribes’ was organised in conjunction with the 2014 World Anti-Corruption Day.

The Run is open to all ages and is free of charge, he added.

“Participants are required to run a distance of 3.1 kilometers where the starting and ending point will be at the Paroi Youth and Sports Complex,” he said.–BERNAMA
