1,400 Police Personnel For Today’s 2016 Charity Shield Match

JOHOR BAHARU – Police will deploy 1,400 personnel for security control at the 2016 Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Cup Charity Match between Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Selangor at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin on Saturday night.

South Johor Baharu police chief, ACP Sulaiman Salleh said five vehicle loads of Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) would also be mobilised in the stadium area.

He said all supporters had been told to adhere to security orders including a ban on explosive substances, sharp weapons or items which could injure as well as carrying out provocative banners which could trigger arguments between the two sides.

“Members of the public are also prohibited from drinking alcohol and carrying out any form of vandalism such burning stadium seats.

“Police will not hesitate to take firm action if spectators are found breaking the orders.

The match between JDT and Selangor will be aired live on TV3 at 9pm today.
