PUTRAJAYA: Eleven newly appointed Malaysian envoys Thursday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at his office here.
They are Datuk Ibrahim Abdullah (Ambassador to France); Mohd Zamruni Khalid (Vietnam); Chuah Teong Ban (Peru); Tajul Aman Mohamad (Romania); Norlin Othman (Sweden) and Chitra Devi Ramiah (Timor Leste).
Datuk Ghulam Jelani Khanizaman (High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam); Aminahtun A. Karim (Canada); Nur Ashikin Mohd Taib (Bangladesh), Hishamuddin Ibrahim (Namibia) and Datuk Adeline Leong (President of the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre in Taiwan).
Ibrahim was previously deputy secretary-general (bilateral affairs) at the Foreign Ministry; Mohd Zamruni, deputy head of the ASEAN-Malaysia National Secretariat; Chuah, ambassador to Ukraine; Tajul Aman, ambassador to Timor Leste; Norlin, high commissioner to Bangladesh: Chitra Devi, consul general in Chennai, India.
Aminahtun, deputy director-general of the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations; Nur Ashikin, deputy director-general of the Department of Policy Planning and Coordination at the Foreign Ministry and Hishamuddin, director of the Sarawak Regional Office.
Ghulam Jelani is a government pensioner.
