KUCHING – One hundred and four victims are still staying at four relief centres in Serian as of 8 am Monday.
Sarawak Civil Defence Department public relations officer Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim said the number was 124 at 8 pm last night.
She said 20 victims from seven families who were sheltered at the relief centre at Sacred Heart Church returned to their homes yesterday.
“Twenty-eight people from seven families are still staying at the centre,” she said when contacted this morning.
She said the number of flood victims at three other relief centres remained the same.
“Balai Raya Slabi Entungkuh is sheltering 40 people from nine families while 26 people from eight families are staying at Surau Hadhari Kampung Rimba Padi.
“Ten people from two families who were evacuated from their homes following a landslide are still staying at the relief centre at Balai Raya Koran,” she said.
